Daily. The ingest pipeline pulls direct from each issuing authority every 24 hours. Some sources (OFAC, UK OFSI) publish multiple times per day and we re-fetch each publication.

No. amisanctioned is an informational service. Sanctions enforcement rests with the issuing authority, and you remain responsible for verifying every match against the authority's official record before taking any action. Common names may match multiple individuals — verify identity (DOB, nationality, place of birth) independently before any business decision.

What's the difference between a sanction and a PEP?

A sanction is a legal designation by a government authority (OFAC, UK OFSI, EU, etc.) that restricts financial or trade dealings. A PEP designation is a structural risk flag indicating that enhanced due diligence is required under FATF Recommendations 12 and 22 — it is not a sanction.
